Jean-Michel already had around fifteen years of experience in the French digital animation industry when he created his own studio. He was trained as an engineer and launched his career as the main developer of Mediapegs software for Pixibox, later working on marketing this same software. In this context, he has contributed to helping various studios worldwide to switch from traditional to digital methods. Jean-Michel was Director General of TTK from 1995-2000.

Jean-Michel founded 2 minutes in 2000 as a digital studio producing animated programmes in various formats.
2 minutes is built upon a solid foundation of sustained R&D work and develops its own software in order to broaden its creative horizons, optimize its digital production chain and bring together under one roof all the various stages and techniques needed to create an animated series.
For several years now, the studio has shown that the innovative use of digital tools means that the whole production process for an animated series can be delocalised anywhere in France , thus reducing delivery time whilst still guaranteeing a high level of creative control.
The 2 minutes studio is based in Paris and also has production centres in Angoulême and Quebec which, alongside the 80-strong staff, allows the studio to work on several parallel projects at once.
This structure means that 2 minutes can stake a claim as one of the main French animation suppliers and also as a co-production partner. The studio has been involved, among other projects, with "Atomic Betty", " Shuriken School " and "L'ane Trotro."
